Hats off to the Sri Lankan team for their series win.
But.. credit should go to Bangladeshi cricket team too to show some courageous batting in their second innings. They have talented players like Ashraful and Rahim. They need to identify and keep these guys for sometime and need to give maximum exposure.
Only problem they have is not enough test matches in their fixtures. They are quite used to the one day format but to Test cricket. The other problem is lack of variation in their bowling attack to bowl out a side twice in a test match. They have to immediately sort of those these issues to become a formidable force in Test arena in future.
Seems like Vass is going back to county cricket after the second test. It will be interesting to see who is going to fill that gap in the third test match. Seems like Sajeewa De Silva is going to have another chance to prove a point. Will he have the talent and skill to show his capability?
BTW, Now we have four world class bowlers in our line up. Murali, Vass, Malinga and Dilhara. Who's going to replace them in future. We need to find replacements for Murali and Vass for sure since they cant play more than 3-4 years here on. Therefore we need to find correct talent now itself. We need to go to school level and need to find good talent. This is the time for that.
Well, it will be interesting to see how selectors will handle the team selection in the third test. they should definitely look into the future. Need to nurture good talent.
